OUR TEAM – JIMMY JEWELL
Jimmy is the founder of Jewell Podiatry and has worked privately since 2008. Before this he worked within the NHS, gaining a varied and in-depth knowledge of podiatry. He graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine.
He has attended post graduate courses to provide continued learning in areas such as biomechanics and gait related injuries.
He has a special interest in sports related injuries concerning the lower limb and has gained relevant qualifications from the Football Association (FA). He has mentored undergraduate and post graduate students, including both sports science and podiatry students.
He is an active sportsman.This he feels, gives him a deeper understanding of both the anatomy of injuries and the physical and psychological implications they can have.
Jimmy is able to provide general podiatry/chiropody and more specialist treatments including the surgical correction of nails using local anaesthetic and musculoskeletal assessment.
